Vision The Department of political science aspires to leadership and excellence in the field of specialization through the admission of students specializing in this field, in order to ensure the deepening of knowledge and political awareness of issues of local, regional and international political affairs, through the use of competent and qualified professors in this field, and the adoption of sound scientific courses that enable students to reach this awareness, in addition to serving society and its public and private institutions.

To promote the educational and research process in the field of political science through the preparation of specialized scientific competencies that meet the needs of society in the field of political science, in a way that enhances political culture and analytical ability to analyze and define positions at all levels, as well as the ability to manage state affairs, linking theoretical study with real political data and events.

1. Raising the students ' ability to understand and analyze political events on the international arena and the mechanisms and principles of managing international relations and diplomacy.
2. To develop the possibilities of students in writing political research by raising the scientific ability to use scientific sources and benefit from them in building analytical and forward-looking capacity for the future.
3. Providing the community with the experience of the Department's professors in holding courses, lectures, conducting research and providing political advice to enhance political awareness in the community.
4. Preparing and developing training and scientific programs in the fields of political science to serve the institutions of society to improve the performance and efficiency of graduates in this field.
5. Permanent and renewed development of scientific research methods and curricula to ensure keeping pace with the rapid and successive changes of political science.
6. Develop students ' ability to analyze and predict political phenomena (regional and international) and their developments.
7. Qualifying students and building them intellectually and scientifically by providing them with the opportunity to practice research and scientific writing, participate in discussion and dialogue, refine their personalities, develop their abilities, and help them think and create.
